You’re dying of thirst in a desert, and you see water, a lake in the distance. You can choose to believe it is only a crazy mirage, stay put and die of thirst, or choose to see that water in front of you, and go towards it.
Hope it will turn out to be real. It will only be after you walk many steps that you can find which it is. You must walk them. Or not. But, it is you that must walk towards the water.
Is it not better to begin walking towards a hopeful vision of the water, while unknown in truth, than to cement in your mind a belief that it is only a mirage and stay where you are?
